Manage License Compliance

If you want to identify open source code or third-party source code that is being used in your application in potential violation of license agreements, you can use the Code Patterns feature of Pattern Miner to identify such usage.

You start by creating a tree of only the open source or third-party code. Then, as shown in the figure below, you compare this with the source code that you want to examine for license compliance.

The results from the comparison show you the code segments that are identical or similar across the two source trees.

You can review the similar code patterns in detail to determine if there have been license violations.
